Baked Fish



Ingredients

  • 250gms.(8oz.)Fish Fillets
  • 1.5tbsps.Ginger-Garlic Paste
  • 1tsp.Turmeric Powder
  • 1.5tbsp.Red Chilli Powder
  • 1tsp.Curry Powder
  • 1tsp.Carom Seeds(Ajwain/Ajma/Oavaa)
  • 1tbsp.Greek (Thick)Yoghurt(Curd/Dahi)
  • OR
  • 2tbsp.Lemon Juice
  • Salt to taste

Directions

Mix together the Yoghurt/Lemon Juice with the Red Chilly Powder, Turmeric Powder, Ginger- Garlic Paste, Carom Seeds, Curry Powder and Salt to a smooth mixture. Marinate the Fish fillets in this for 30minutes.Heat the oven at 180degrees Celsius. Line a baking tray with foil. Drain each Fillet of the marinade and place on the foil. Bake for 5-6 minutes on each side turning the Fillets to brown evenly on both sides. Baste with a little marinade if desired. The yoghurt imparts a better flavor but some folks are finicky about using Dairy products and Fish together. Serve hot as a side dish or as a main dish with Soup and Salad.
